so when a group of people who call themselves “metaphysical activists” get ready for their first-ever “Vibe Demonstration,” we feel honor-bound to share that as well. They’re going to gather — sorry, “peacefully convene” — at the corner of LaBrea and Santa Monica boulevards today at 6 p.m. and, carrying posters, will aim positive thoughts right at you and everyone else who lives in press release:
Fingers crossed. Really. –Veronique de Turenne |

Subcomandante Marcos, also known as Delegado Zero in matters concerning the Other Campaign, describes himself as the spokesman for the Mexican rebel movement, the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN). He is also an author, political poet, and outspoken opponent of globalization, capitalism and neo-liberalism. The internationally known guerilla has been described as a “new” and “post modern” Che Guevara. 60 MINUTES Piece:

A CBS news crew has uncovered a huge warehouse holding facility in Denver, consisting of steel cages topped with barbed wire, ready to receive thousands of protesters at this year’s Democratic National Convention.
“This is a building filled with metal holding cells,” described CBS reporter Rick Sallinger. “We showed up at the facility unannounced today, the doors were wide open, and we managed to shoot for several minutes until a Denver sheriff’s captain asked us to leave.”
The warehouse is located on the north-east side of Denver and is owned by the city. It appears that officials wanted to keep it a secret until the convention began. The police captain captured on film warned that if made public, the facility could be compromised “by people who are potentially trying to be disruptive.” (infowars.net)

By 2050, minorities will be the majority in America, and the number of residents older than 65 will more than double, according to projections released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau.
Minorities, classified as those of any race other than non-Hispanic, single-race whites, currently constitute about a third of the U.S. population, according to Census figures. But by 2042, they are projected to become the majority, making up more than half the population. By 2050, 54 percent of the population will be minorities. Minority children are projected to reach that milestone even sooner. By 2023, the bureau said, more than half of all children will be minorities.

Today, i had to pull this product off the shelf after finding out that the main ingredient in it is “Placental extract” which is, and I’m not joking, an extract derived from human or animal PLACENTA.
i have used it before, not knowing what it was and not putting 1+1 together that the product is called “Placentagen” for a reason.
to be honest, i liked it allot , and the way it smelled, which is nothing like what you would imagine placenta to smell like. (it prolly doesn’t smell like that.)
funny, the other day my friend was telling me how his hippie parents ate his placenta after he was born. His dad made a special savory sauce and the whole family enjoyed the left overs of him and his mom.
heard of it before, but still can’t believe it.
Would you eat a placenta???

released in 1982, the film TRON featured the world’s first computer generated graphics. Buena Vista films has finally decided to release the sequel to the cult-classic movie that takes place inside the mainframe of a brutal computer game. Believe it or not- this is my all-time favorite movie and here’s footage of the trailer shown recently @ comic-con: and…here’s the original light-cycle sequence from first movie:

Back in 1970, on a trip to France, Jimi Hendrix commissioned one of the world’s most visionary sci-fi artists (MOEBIUS) to capture his essence in a piece of art. The image, of Jimi spooning soup into his mouth, was part of a series of photographs taken expressly for Moebius to use as templates to draw upon.
Hendrix was interested in Moebius doing the cover for a future album which never came to fruition. Years later, Moebius was inspired to further immortalize Hendrix in a series of wildly imaginative pieces. You can see them here:

Pussy is unique. It is made with a blend of fresh white grape juice from Southern Italy, pressed Mexicanlimes and lightly carbonated water. These are then mixed with Grenadilla and Lychee flavours, infused with six selected botanical herbs. I actually can’t wait to try this stuff. It sounds like it tastes good. Exotic, even.

In 1957, a Soviet dog named Laika became the first living creature to orbit the Earth. Originally a stray, Laika was selected over two other trainees. Though she died a few hours after launch due to stress and heat exhaustion, her trip proved that a living passenger could survive being launched into orbit and endure weightlessness. There’s a small monument dedicated to her near Moscow.

Scientists say they’ve put exercise in a pill
Scientists have discovered what could be the ultimate workout for couch potatoes: exercise in a pill.
In experiments on mice that did no exercise, the chemical compound, known as AICAR, allowed them to run 44% farther on a treadmill than those that did not receive the drug. The drug appeared to change the physical composition of muscle, essentially transforming the tissue from sugar-burning fast-twitch fibers to fat-burning slow-twitch ones — the same change that occurs in distance runners and cyclists through training.”You’re getting the benefits of exercise without having to do any work,” said David Mangelsdorf, a pharmacologist at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
