Here’s a clip of the first time we collected used veggie oil (WVO) from a cafe and then went back and filtered it. After that we pumped it into a jug and used it for FREE gas (see: Infin.s pt. I)

or a scam? You tell me:
So, I’ve been making these little films documenting aspects of my everyday life and the people and events that come along with it. At a party in West Hollywood last Friday, a guy I know that reaks of money* told me that I ought to post a new video each week to keep the vibe going. When I thought about it, it makes perfect sense. So…voila! As some of y’all know, one of the main things I am is an artist- primarily MUSIC- although I dabble in other media as well. I have a record coming out this fall on the ___________ label in conjunction with our company (preAMP+). It’s gonna be big. Anyway, outside of my own band and production unit, I just started working with a producer by the name of Shafiq Husayn. He’s one of the guys responsible for the very unique sound and philosophy called SA-RA. He’s produced work by people ranging from Erykah Badu (New Amerykah PART ONE) to Ice-T. He’s an eccentric dude. Very prolific and wildly creative. This experience is definitely making me approach recording with a different perspective. Here’s a clip of the first time we officially sat down to start working:FYI+++- The thing he keeps going on about is called a “funk box”, or the Rhythm King Mk-2- one of the first drum machines used in popular music (click here).
And “fuzz” is a sonic quality of recording that he tends to favor. Interesting.
Pt II…In case you haven’t seen/heard, I bought an old 78′ Mercedes diesel and converted it to run on veggie oil. Alot of people think that I decided to make this move as a way of going green or something having to do with the environment. My initial motivation actually was for spite. I got pissed because I felt like whoever is running our social infrastructure is fucking with our heads and our lives. I saw this as a way to give a middle finger to the oil men and all the corruption. One day I said to myself- . These people are no bigger than me. I’m a man, and they are men. They’re no more stronger or more capable. So, this [car] was my middle finger and I called it Infin.s After a little deliberation, I realized that instead of a middle finger, I’d contribute to a movement of people who are becoming aware and more importantly taking action. This picture’s important because you see me (or Richie on myspace) pouring the first tank of veggie oil (It’s good to drive about 200 miles on brand new veggie oil because it totally cleans and lubricates all the gunk from your diesel engine). This is also is an interesting picture for another reason: In this picture you also see the last time I pay for gas. …(pt. III coming soon)
